Day 1 : Nashville
Upon arriving in Nashville, we check in to the luxurious Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville’s premiere hotel and our home for the next four nights. Featuring four expansive atriums and gardens, over fifteen scrumptious on-site dining options, decadent spa treatments, and world-class service, this resort will exceed your wildest dreams.
Day 2 : A Country Music Christmas
After a tasty breakfast at our resort, we depart for a city tour with an expert local guide. Enjoy close-up views of many iconic landmarks and discover the studios and performance halls that provided the roots of country and blues music. This afternoon we have an included lunch in downtown Nashville with time to shop or listen to live music at iconic honky-tonks along Broadway. Tonight, we enjoy an included dinner and performance by a major star in country music featuring renditions of Christmas classics and their own original music.
Day 3 : Country Music Hall of Fame
Today begins with breakfast at the hotel before arriving at famous Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery. Unlike most Southern estates of its time, Belle Meade was primarily used for thoroughbred horse breeding, training, and racing. Learn about the century-long history of this mansion and museum, then enjoy an included lunch and wine tasting. Later we explore the history of country, western, and folk music at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The permanent exhibit Sing Me Back Home: Folk Roots to the Present uses artifacts, photographs, recordings, and video to walk guests through the history of the genre. The remainder of the day is at leisure to spend as you wish.
Day 4 : The Grand Ole Opry
Following another delicious breakfast, our day starts with boarding the Delta River Flatboat located right inside our resort! During this leisurely ride down the Delta River, we take in sights of waterfalls, an 85-foot fountain, and over four acres of gardens. Afterward, we depart for an included lunch aboard the General Jackson Showboat, Nashville’s only cruise. Delight in this immersive experience of Southern culture with a dazzling country music variety show and a delicious Southern meal as we cruise the Cumberland River. The afternoon is ours for individual exploration. Return to the hotel to enjoy a diverse array of attractions including ice skating and snow tubing, strolling through the Garden Conservatory, or browsing the Delta Island Shops. This evening we come together for a top-notch live music performance of the Grand Ole Opry, the famous concert series and radio show that’s been celebrating Country music since 1925.
Day 5 : Fly Home
We return home with music in our hearts and unforgettable memories of our getaway to Nashville!
